Virtual Shelf Feature as Solution for Your Virtual Store

by ATLAS Reality Posted in ATLAS Update

VR and AR enable a virtual store's ecommerce. A virtual reality shop or smartphone augmented reality software lets buyers see how a couch fits in a space. A virtual shop bridges the gap between both the physical and online worlds and gives clients individualized service.

While it's legitimate to connect the rise of virtual retailers to the epidemic, technology has developed as a tool for meeting fundamental consumer demands.

Consumers want to feel confidence in their purchase decision, pricing, and ease of purchase. Virtual shops may meet all of these objectives by enabling customers to virtually sample things and rapidly access product information while offering interesting and immersive purchasing experiences.

Virtual shops' benefits

McKinsey study shows that internet shoppers find virtual shopping appealing. This means VR and AR may attract tech-savvy customers and boost brand loyalty. Virtual retailers provide several benefits to adopters.

  • Sell more – Companies may boost sales by showing consumers how things appear on them.

  • Engage customers – Virtual storefronts may boost consumer involvement and emotional relationships.

  • Research marketing – Virtual shops let organizations test store layouts and ideas with less resources.

  • Explore stores virtually – Customers may shop anywhere in virtual reproductions of brick-and-mortar establishments or branded imagined worlds.

  • Personalize more – Virtual storefronts let merchants evaluate consumer buying behavior and customize experiences.

Thus, big brands like DIOR, Nike, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Wrangler and Tiltburry are now using virtual stores for selling more products and creating awareness. However, the use of virtual stores might come with one problem such as updating your product.

Virtual Shelf, A Solution for Virtual Store

Problems arise, however, when considering the expense of using 360-degree photographs for a virtual tour, especially if the retail products in question are subject to rapid turnover (for example, seasonal clothing). When the product is updated, new photos must be taken. Thus, you need a solution to deal with the problem.

However, ATLAS provides more than just a virtual store with the addition of a virtual shelf function.  We will update our store with a virtual shelf, not only a virtual picture tour. Although the picture itself may be reused, the virtual shelf can be constantly updated to include new items and information on a daily, hourly, or even more frequent basis. Thus, the imaginary snapshot you take is merely a placeholder throughout the trip.

For example, only the shampoo and soap area of shelf A is shown in the picture; the rest of the goods may be on other shelves. However, there might be 50 different shampoos, and unfortunately just a few will be highlighted in the virtual tour. These 50 items are shown on a Virtual Shelf, and the shelves shown here are only for illustration purposes.
